Gloucester City Homes Housing Team will be out in force over the next two weeks to complete another citywide inspection of our neighbourhoods.
The blitz of the estates will be completed over a fortnight starting from Monday and is part of the initiative to ensure that neighbourhoods are kept in the best condition. A 'Hello Gloucester' van will be out and about promoting the inspections.
The inspections, which are ran quarterly build on the regular day-to-day work completed by Gloucester City Homes Housing Officers and Estate Service Workers, create a full picture of all our neighbourhoods at one time.
By gathering accurate information on community repairs, maintenance, tenancy breaches and other issues, they can develop comprehensive estate profiles which lead to action plans. This helps them work with tenants to allocate budgets efficiently to those areas most in need of improvement.
Becky Hayward, neighbourhood services manager at Gloucester City Homes, said: "We are committed to ensuring the highest standards are maintained in our estates. We recognise that the quality of homes and the surrounding environment is key to residents feeling a sense of pride in their home and community. We encourage anyone to get involved and help out."
