Randwick Under-12s netball team find themselves on top of the county league after beating their rivals Hucclecote 7-6 in the latest round of matches played at Bentham Country Club.
Randwick are now unbeaten, but go into the Christmas break with Hucclecote close behind.
Hucclecote juniors sit on top of the other age group leagues, with Old Chelts Under 16s and Under 14s in second place and Cirencester in second place in the Under-13 age group.
Every month teams from all over the county play in the Gloucestershire Netball Junior league at its main venue and sponsor, Bentham Country Club. This season has also seen teams from Stroud, Challengers and Gloucester Ladies Netball clubs make great strides in the development of their junior sections.
Bernie Crowe, coach of Gloucester Ladies Juniors and teacher at Pittville School said: "Our Under12 squad have come up together from playing High Five netball at junior school and are now enjoying winning some of their games."
Challengers Junior club have an all-new line up in their Under 14 section this season, and coach Heather Battson is pleased with the efforts of her squad. She said: "They are all excited about playing matches and are very enthusiastic and willing to learn."
