A man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in Gloucester today.
At 6.30 this morning a woman was walking to work along Great Western Road. As she reached the railway underpass a man stopped her and grabbed her handbag.
The woman tried to stop him and in an attempt to get rid of the man she gave him £2. He then let her go and ran away in the direction of London Road.
The man is described as white, in his late twenties or early thirties with dark blond hair. He was wearing black jogging bottoms with red, green and yellow stripes with a symbol in the same colours on the top of the left leg. He also had on a dark coloured duffle coat.
