Gloucestershire weather: Fine and dry winter's day ahead

A fine, dry winter's day lies ahead - but it will still be chilly.

Maximum temperatures are set for about 7C and widespread frosts are predicted overnight.

MET OFFICE SUMMARY:

Today:

A cold start to the day. Staying dry with plenty of winter sunshine and light winds. Cloud will gradually build from the west later. Feeling cold. Maximum Temperature 7C.

Tonight:

Cloud will slowly build from the west overnight, although it will remain dry for many. Widespread frost may form locally after dark away from western coasts, before turning milder later. Minimum Temperature 1C.

Sunday:

Rather cloudy but mostly dry, although some patchy rain spreading east later. Winds will increase to a gentle southwesterly breeze. Feeling milder than of late. Maximum Temperature 9C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mild on Monday, rain clearing to brighter, colder and drier conditions. Frosty at first Tuesday, turning mild and mostly fine, showers at times. Cold with showers Wednesday. Breezy.
