Excited youngsters flocked to a new alcohol-free bar in Gloucester city centre.
The Cavern Club opened its doors for the very first time on Friday night.
A group of dedicated volunteers turned the disused basement at the Treasure Seekers into Gloucester's very own Cavern Club.
The shop, in Westgate Street, sells gifts and homemade crafts and puts on activities and provides volunteering jobs for adults with learning difficulties.
Staff decided to make use of the space beneath the shop by turning it into a safe haven for young people. The club has its very own access from College Street.
It may have only opened at 4pm today but it has already attracted more than 40 people so far. To celebrate the opening a live in-house band performed for guests.
The Cavern Club will be open every Fridays from 4pm until 11pm. It is a safe place where youngsters can hang out with friends. The club also has a coffee bar and a music area for bands.
Emily Jones, 13, from Gloucester said: "The Cavern Club is really nice. When I first saw the place, they were doing it up and now it has completely transformed. I will look forward to coming here often."
Volunteer Robin Trigg, 15, said: "We have had a good turn-out for the first night, but would like even more people in the future to come. I enjoy volunteering here, it increases my confidence and it will help when I look for full-time jobs in the future."
