A 41 year old Tredworth man has been remanded in custody today accused of trying to murder a French Algerian man who has only recently come to the UK.
At Gloucester crown court Andrew Jones of Ducie Street, Tredworth, was accused of the attempted murder of Mohamed Mghizou, 32, of Bristol Road in the city who has been resident in this country for 4-5 months. Mr Jones allegedly stabbed him.
Jones made a brief appearance and was remanded in custody pending a five day trial due to start on 15th June. Judge Jamie Tabor QC said ir was a case which appeared to depend largely on forensic evidence from experts.
